It's been a while....

I just realized how long it has been since I blogged. Almost a month has passed. I'm happy to note that not too many more bathroom issues have arisen. Just more of the same. Wilder is on the verge of walking. I find myself mentally rebelling against the very thought of him walking but I'm powerless to not assist because it's just so darn cute. My world will never be the same once he can walk. I find myself wishing he would slow down his progress to toddlerhood. I was so anxious for cedar to move on to the next big thing but knowing that Wilder is my last makes me want to keep him a baby longer...

Random Thoughts from April:
-I need 25 hours in the day--maybe 26
-I hate audits. It's just a nasty word.
-Cheese crackers and soy formula make nasty vomit
-Never underestimate how bad a 7-year-old boy can stink
-Cub scout training is just as boring as it sounds.
-Every year a group of seniors graduates from Walden and I cry.
-My mother is one of my best friends :)
-Earth Day is wonderful and I love it! (sidenote you can now recycle glass at Target)
-Newborns are great--especially when they belong to someone else.
-Irish movies are weird
-Our students are really talented.
-Cedar is a budding geneologist--so cute.
-Tax return, birthdays and bank rewards are huge blessings...
-Eric is still my best friend after 10 years

I can't wait for May it is my favorite month in Utah.

Poo, Pee and other Bathroom Matters........

This is a graphic rant about little boys and their bathroom habits. If you are offended by such please stop reading. I'm done with the rear ends of my children. I mean 99% of the time I love that we have two little boys. I relate to boys better than girls. I don't like pink, I don't do my hair, I haven't worn makeup in years (last time I did I broke out in hives-that is a separate story) and in general I do better with the male side of the species. With one minor exception---the bathroom. Is it impossible for them to go to the bathroom without landing urine in some unfortunate location where I am likely to sit or stand on it. Is it so difficult to just get the urine in the toilet? I used half a thing of wipes cleaning said urine off of one toilet today. It was oozing from parts of the toilet that should never have any contact with urine. There was a urine ring around the bottom of the toilet. I'm contemplating re-caulking the bottom of the toilet (which it needs anyway) just to rid of the yellow urine stains. I was so upset about the urine that later in the day when an un-named 7 year-old ran in to use the restroom while playing outside with a friend and peed on the seat, I very nearly ran outside with a wad of toilet paper and an earful for him before Eric stopped me and convinced me that completely humiliating my son in public was probably not the answer. To top it all off Wilder proceeded to have a real blowout--which I cleaned--while grumbling under my breath. And then.... it was time to wash diapers--which I admit is my choice to use cloth-but really people could there be anymore of this today? With any luck Wilder will pee all over my bed tonight or the cat will vomit on the carpet. Okay, I'm done and I feel infinately better getting all of that off my chest. I have a friend who has 3 (gasp!) little boys and she has considered developing a product that absorbs all the pee around the toilet. Like a giant maxi pad. Perhaps we will go into business together someday and make millions and then...................I will hire a maid to clean my bathroom.

Okay....so I think I'm ready to start blogging again...

So...I have been thinking that it is about time I start blogging again. I mean the baby is 9 months old and life seems to have normalized somewhat. Well, as normal as things get around her. I think I will start my 2nd triumphant return to blogging with a list of awesome things that have happened or will happen to the Beecrofts in 2010:
1. On Jan 4, 2010 Wilder officially became a "legal" Beecroft. The kid is stuck with us forever.
2. Eric went to India for 3 weeks in February and March. It was long, we missed him but he came back without any diseases and no actual live fleas--just a lot of bites.
3. Wilder can crawl and get into absolutely everything--and does.
4. On April 1st Cedar will have his first art show with the Scera Art Studio. He is pumped!
5. Eric and I will celebrate our 10th (!) anniversary next week with a stay at the Homestead in Midway (without children!).
6. In June we are all going to Bosnia, Turkey and Italy. Eric's Foundry Photojournalism (year 3) Workshop will be in Istanbul this year. It will be Wilder's maiden voyage out of the country. Cedar is hoping to go fishing in Italy and perhaps visit a glass-blowing shop.
7. Sharon gets to participate in an audit in July--oh wait that goes on another list entitled--"Things That Really Stress Me Out"
8. Becca, Mike and Jack will visit us on the way to San Diego in August. (Okay, so this isn't for sure but if I post it on here they will just feel guilty if they don't come. tee hee hee)
9. Cedar begins the 3rd grade in August. He will stay in the same class with Miss Shelly (multi-age classroom).
10. Oh, I know there will be much more to come!!!
